Brand Verifications

Hertwill offers a wide range of products that you can add to your store instantly. However, some premium brands, or brands with restrictions in certain countries, require approval before you can start selling their products.

Here's how the brand verification process works

1. Apply for access

If a product requires brand approval, you'll see an "Apply to sell" button on its product card in the catalogue and on the product page, and an "Apply for a Brand" button next to it in the Import List. Click it and submit your request.

2. Wait for review

Brands review applications based on factors like your store's niche, appearance, and trustworthiness. Approvals usually come quickly when your store is live and accessible. If your store is not live yet, approval may take longer because the brand cannot see what it is approving.

3. Get approved

Approved? You'll get a notification and can start selling the brand's products right away. Rejected? The brand isn't a fit for your store at this time, but you can still sell other products on Hertwill. You can reapply once you've made changes to your store – see below.

Most common reasons a brand declines a store

❌ Your store isn't live yet – the brand can't see what it's approving.

❌ Your store doesn't look professional yet.

❌ Your store's niche doesn't match the brand.

❌ Your store sells AliExpress products – the brand doesn't want to appear next to them.

❌ The brand doesn't sell or ship to your country.

How to increase your chances of approval

✅ Your store should be live and accessible – no password restrictions.

✅ Use a custom domain – it makes your store look more legitimate.

✅ Look professional – your homepage should be clean and simple with a clear hero image. A white background usually makes your store look more professional. Avoid placeholder texts like "Lorem Ipsum" or AI-generated fluffy generic text. At first glance, it should be clear what your store is about.

✅ Include an 'About Us' and 'Contact' page – brands, like your customers, want to know who's behind the store.

✅ Set up a favicon and a real logo – don't just use the default Shopify text.

✅ Be mindful of your product selection – stores full of AliExpress items might not get approved.

✅ Don't use brand images before approval – wait until you're verified.

That's it. It might feel like a hassle, but it's how we ensure high-quality partnerships with great brands. Don't worry — most brand requests get approved.
