How are our candles made?

All The Candledust products are made by hand using high-quality vegetable wax and only premium grade (IFRA certified) fragrance oils. The wick used in The Candledust candle is cotton so that the burning is clean, toxin-free and allergen-free. The candle does not get soot if you make sure that the candle wick is not too long and take care of it and they burn 60% cleaner than other candles. They are really that good! The products are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

They are made of waterproof genuine nubuck leather and the inner lining is a 4-layer sock-style TOPAZ membrane which ensures water resistance and breathability. The boots have a 2-layer Vibram sole for moving on soft and hard soil. If you are unfamiliar with Vibram, it is the Porsche or Ferrari, whichever you prefer, in the world of hiking footwear. They are manufactured in Europe according to the NATO AQAP 2110 standard by the same factory making one of the most legendary military boots, M77s. The same manufacturer has also worked with well-known brands, including Dr. Martens and Rossignol. So you can be assured they have military-grade quality and robustness. The name of the shoes, Widgets, comes from the hipster area in Tartu, Estonia, where the shoe factory is located, The Widget Factory. During the depressing Soviet times, the area was used to manufacture refrigeration equipment and secret submarine parts, and to mislead the public, non-functioning umbrellas and zippers. The upper of the Tarkovsky boots is made of genuine water-repellent leather and the high-quality sole is molded directly to the upper. As Tarkovsky boots have no lining besides genuine leather, we recommend wearing warmer socks in freezing weather. Tarkovsky’s got their name from film director Andrei Tarkovsky, whose movie Stalker is one of our favorite movies of all time.
