Selling to the US – FAQ
Hertwill is now available for online stores selling to the US. Here’s what you need to know before you start dropshipping to American customers.
Can I use Hertwill to sell to customers in the US?
Yes. Most products on Hertwill are now available for shipping to the US. You can use the “Ships to” filter in the product catalog to see which products are available for US, UK, or EU delivery.
Which brands ship to the US?
Most brands and product on Hertwill are available for US shipping. To check availability, use the “Ships to” filter in the product catalog.
How long does delivery to the US take?
Most orders are shipped from Europe and typically arrive within 5–12 business days. For some items, especially made-to-order products, please allow 3–4 weeks.
We’re working on adding express shipping options and expanding the list of brands and products that ship from US warehouses.
How much does shipping to the US cost?
Shipping fees vary by product category but start from 7.99 € / approx. 9 USD. You can find detailed rates in the Shipping Rates section on the Shipping page.
The good news? Shipping costs will decrease over time as more brands ship from US warehouses and as higher volumes help us negotiate better deals with logistics partners.
Can US customers track their orders?
For some orders, yes. We're still testing different shipping options, so we can't yet guarantee tracking for all US shipments like we do in the EU. But the goal is to make tracking available for all orders. If a tracking number is available, you’ll find it on the Orders page in your Hertwill account.
Does Hertwill accept returns from the US?
Yes. Hertwill is one of the few dropshipping platforms that accepts returns—and that includes US orders.
For now, merchants are responsible for shipping US returns back to the warehouse address we provide. A more streamlined return process is coming soon. The goal is to offer a setup similar to the EU, where merchants can request return labels directly from us.

Are there any taxes or duties for US customers?
No VAT is charged on orders shipped outside the EU. US customers benefit from an $800 de minimis exemption, meaning no import duties or taxes are typically applied to orders valued under $800.
At the moment, there are no tariffs on the types of products Hertwill sells—but as always, we can’t predict what the future holds. Import rules are set by US customs and may change over time.
Do I need to change anything in my store to start selling Hertwill products to the US?
Not much. You’ll need to set up shipping zones and pricing for the US in your Shopify or WooCommerce store. It’s up to you to decide how much to charge your customers for shipping, and whether to offer free shipping above a certain threshold.
Everything else works just like with other orders—once a US order is placed, it’s automatically sent to Hertwill for fulfillment.
Will Hertwill charge me in USD for orders?
No, Hertwill charges in euros. If you switch the currency in Hertwill to USD (or any other currency), prices are shown for reference only and are not the actual billing currency.
