    TOKU Stockholm Sneakers – Grey

    TOKU

    TOKU Stockholms are sustainable sneakers designed by Piibe Tomp and made in Estonia. Our machine-washable sneakers have a classic high cut with a small TOKU twist. Wear them at a muddy festival or a rainy hike – no problem! Remove the laces from the sneakers and wipe off the major dirt and grime. Put the sneakers and laces in the laundry bag, which came with the purchase of the sneakers. This is our most durable and sustainable design so far – no shoe box, all materials are from Europe, the soles are made of natural rubber, and much more.

    TOWARDS A BETTER FUTURE AND ENVIRONMENT

    We value high-quality materials, sustainability, and as a local small producer, we also leave a smaller footprint on our planet thanks to this. We have managed to find partners who share similar values with us. The packaging for new Toku sneakers is a washable and reusable shoe bag – an alternative to the usual cardboard shoe box. Each year we plant about 2000 new trees to contribute to the conservation of Estonian nature. Planting forests helps us remember our roots and preserve the nature surrounding us.

    LEATHER

    The leather for shoe details comes from European farms and is processed in Italy. This leather can be washed in a washing machine.

    TEXTILE

    50% renewable solar energy is used in the production of the fabric. The outer layer of fabric consists of 70% cotton and 30% polyester. The lining is 100% recycled PET.

    INSOLE

    The insole material is breathable microfiber, under which is activated charcoal and natural cork, ensuring comfort, keeping feet dry, and helping fight unpleasant odors.

    SOLE

    The soles are 100% natural latex rubber – made from the milk of the hevea or rubber tree. Hevea milk
    is collected in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam and then sent to France, where the final product, LACTAE HEVEA® sole, is made.

    • The uppers of the sneakers are crafted from a water-repellent textile, a manufacturing process that uses 50% renewable energy. This outer layer of fabric consists of 70% cotton and 30% polyester.
    • Details are made from vegetable-tanned leather, sourced from European farms, and processed in Italy.
    • The lining is composed of 100% recycled PET.
    • The soles are 100% natural latex rubber – derived from the milk of the Hevea – which is also known as a rubber tree. The latex milk is collected in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, and then sent to France to be turned into the finished product at Lactae Hevea.
    • The material for the insole is a breathable microfiber, underneath that lies activated charcoal and natural cork. These materials provide comfort, help to keep feet dry and combat unpleasant odors.

    For 0-2 years old child: 

    The cradle with a mattress measuring 105 x 66 cm is a safe sleeping place for a 0-2 year old child. Next to the baby bed is a chest of drawers with a changing table – keep everything you need conveniently at hand. The drawers of the chest run on durable telescopic rails, which are equipped with a soft closing system. You can place the chest of drawers on either the right or left side of the sleeping area.

    The base of the crib can be adjusted to three heights The playpen is another useful additional feature, convenient for arriving guests. The baby crib has a removable side, it can be used next to the parents’ bed. Under the bed there are two wheeled bed boxes for bedding and baby clothes. The external dimensions in are 146 x 86 x 99 cm (length x width x height).

    Handmade Leather Headband

    Gerda Retter Design

    A Gerda Retter Design leather headband, handcrafted and designed in their studio in Tartu, at the Aparaaditehas.

    Gerda Retter is an Estonian accessory designer who established her brand in 2016 while studying leather design at the Tartu Art College. She has studied under accessory design masters in both Italy and Hungary. Gerda was nominated at the Hong Kong Design-a-Bag competition in 2015 and several times for the Estonian Design Award BRUNO.
