Barefoot Slippers – Nude

In creating our slippers, we listened to the wishes of the “barefoot” community. After some testing, we are ready with the first pairs of soft and comfortably spacious gymnastic slippers. The slippers have a wide toe area, which leaves enough room for the toes and does not compress them. A rubber band is sewn around the upper part of the slipper, which keeps the slipper firmly on the foot. Both the sole and the upper of the slippers are made of leather; we tested classic leather and suede and found out that the leather rules. The slippers are suitable for medium to wide and medium-height feet.

All Hip-Hop shoes are handmade in southern Estonia by a small family company that has made great shoes since 1927. They practice slow fashion by using natural, high-quality materials and creating versatile, long-lasting styles, ensuring your sandals serve you for years.

Tarkovsky’s got their name from film director Andrei Tarkovsky, whose movie Stalker is one of our favorite movies. The name of the shoes, Widgets, comes from the hipster area in Tartu, Estonia, where the shoe factory is located, The Widget Factory. During the depressing Soviet times, the area was used to manufacture refrigeration equipment and secret submarine parts, and to mislead the public, non-functioning umbrellas and zippers. But nowadays, the area brings together creative entrepreneurs, artist and designer studios, cafes and, of course, the shoe factory.
